A session, start to finish.
Nothing here needs a second person, a laptop, or a sensor on your disc.
Pick standing still or your full run-up. Stand the phone up, walk out to where you throw from, and raise a hand — it tells you to move closer, further back or to one side until it can see all of you.
Then it is just you throwing. Raise a hand, it counts you down, you throw, it speaks. Raise your hand again for the next one.
What you actually hear.
What to change
The thing that will help most, in words you can use on the next throw — one thing at a time, unless you ask for more. When nothing is wrong it says so, and gives you something to sharpen instead.
How long it will be
About 20 to 40 seconds. It says how long, then speaks the answer the moment it has it. You stay where you are.
Whether it is working
It tells you when you are getting it and when you have got it — then moves you on to what is holding you back now.
Watch it back with the coach talking.
Pro keeps your last 10 throws — each one a lesson, not just a clip of you throwing.
- It stops on the moment the throw went wrong and circles the part of you that did it.
- It says what to change, then replays it slowly so you can see it.
- Your throw runs beside the pro you picked, at the same moment.
A phone, and somewhere to stand it.
Something to prop it on
A bag, a fence, a chair, a tripod if you have one. It tells you when it cannot see you, and waits.
Room to throw
A net in the garden or a field — enough that the phone can see your whole run-up.
A signal
Your throw is worked out while you stand there, so the phone needs a connection.
Set it up once and forget it is there.
