The coach, with the camera it wants.
This is the one part that needs the Android app and a camera with a slow-motion mode. A Galaxy S9 from 2018 manages it; some new budget phones still cannot. In a browser you get the coaching, and a disc number only now and then — and the coach tells you which of the two your camera is giving you before the first throw.
It films fast enough to see the release
A browser records your throw at the ordinary speed, which is too slow to read a disc that is already gone. The app uses your phone's slow-motion camera, and that is where every disc number comes from.
Everything else is exactly the same
The same coach, the same voice, the same drills and the same account. It is the website with a better camera behind it — there is nothing extra to learn.
It keeps itself up to date
The coaching comes from this site, so it gets better without you installing anything. You only install again when we change the app around it, which is rare.
Android will try to talk you out of it.
We are not in Google's store, so your phone treats this as an app from a stranger and says so more than once. Nothing below is a fault with your phone or with the app — it is what Android does with anything installed this way, and you can uninstall it like any other app.
Download it
Your browser will warn that this kind of file can harm your phone. It says that about every app that did not come from Google's store, ours included. Choose to keep the file.
Let your phone open it
Tap the downloaded file. Android will ask whether your browser is allowed to install apps — say yes. On many Samsung phones Auto Blocker refuses outright, and you turn it off under Settings, Security and privacy.
Get past the safety check
Play Protect may call the app unsafe or unrecognised. It has not found anything wrong: it says that about anything Google has not checked. Tap “More details”, then “Install anyway”.
Open it and let it see you
It asks for the camera and the microphone — the same two things the browser version asks for, and for the same reasons. Sign in and it is the coach.
